The Western Lightwave turnkey project approach begins during the feasibility study phase. If available, Western Lightwave reviews any business plans or marketing studies completed for new cities. Western Lightwave then begins researching Rights-of-Way, Identifying permitting agencies, land base sources, and performing substructure research to estimate the preliminary running line. Then, Western Lightwave will perform a field investigation that includes topographical analysis, special construction areas, and alternate locations. Western Lightwave synthesizes this data and provides preliminary recommendations and quantities for locations by using our network optimizations tools, including intelligent maps (AM/FM/GIS applications). As a result of the quantities being determined, Western Lightwave will prepare a preliminary cost estimate with typical broad gauge costs for a preferred location. Western Lightwave also will provide a general timeline for construction that can be used for planning purposes.
